YANG Liang is a Professor at the School of Medicine, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), and principle investigator at the National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases (Shenzhen). Formerly a tenured associate professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and Executive Director of the Public Health Cluster at the Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE). He is a recipient of the Guangdong Outstanding Youth Fund, Shenzhen High-Level Overseas Talent, and Young Changjiang Scholar (2020–2022). He has published more than 200 research articles with a total citation more than 16000, and is consecutively ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University. He is an editorial board member for Applied and Environmental Microbiology (American Society for Microbiology), Biofilm (Elsevier), mLife (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and associate editor for npj Biofilms and Microbiomes (Springer Nature).
