Dr. Kopecki is a past NHMRC ECR Fellow, inaugural Future Industries Institute (FII) Foundation Fellow, and a current Mid-Career Fellow in Childhood Wound Infections at Adelaide University. He is also a Principal Scientist at PolyNovo Biomaterials Pty Ltd.  His research integrates cell therapy and biomaterials to develop frontier technologies for improved wound care, and management of clinical infection and wound biofilms. He leads a team focused on preclinical studies aimed at developing disruptive technologies and innovative medical devices to improve patient outcomes and reimagine the standard of care.
